If you want the challenge of a cycle ride down to the coast through open, near-empty roads and beautiful countryside – why not sign up for Capital to Coast yourself?

Not only can you make it your reason to get or stay fit, but you can also help raise much-needed funds for Norwood and their Partner Charities; Sparks, Down’s Syndrome Association and Southern FM’s Help a Local Child

Clive Sladen

ClivClive Sladene Sladen says he's always been lousy at writing these sorts of things so, with no time to do anything he bravely interrupts Skins to ask his sons, David and Joe, what they really think of their ol' man. Dad, they said, you is phat, bare safe and well sick!!! They assure him these are all positive attributes, but they merely echo what Lisa, his wife, tells him every morning - you're fat and sick and your cycling is anything but safe!!! Clive's never ridden a tandem before, but he's certainly had years of experience listening to back seat drivers, so if that's anything to go by he should be pretty good at it.

Clive is an insurance broker in Hendon. He lives in Northwood with Lisa and the boys, not forgetting Lucy the labrador. The whole family are Southampton football fans who go and watch their team regularly. I know he loves to help Norwood and to be part of a two man bicycle team would be a dream come true. Can he make it to the final and be the Front Rider for this years Capital to Coast Cycle Ride? We'll just have to watch the website and find out.
